Diablo 4 Season 3: Best Barbarian Builds Tier List

The Whirlwind Barbarian is probably the most iconic build across the entire Diablo franchise. Whirlwind is a melee build that makes the Barbarian spin around him, destroying everything that dares come close. The build did not receive any changes going into Season 3, so it is still in a pretty good spot overall. Whirlwind specializes in clearing packs of monsters, providing really fast clear speed even in higher-tier Nightmare Dungeons. The build does lack some single-target damage capabilities, but the new Seneschal Companion might provide enough firepower to fix those issues. Overall, if you want to play one of the most fun Barbarian builds in the game, you are going to have a decent time in the endgame.

Another build that specializes in being able to quickly go through Nightmare Dungeons is the Walking Arsenal Barbarian. This build makes full use of all the different weapons you can carry, unleashing devastating blows with each successive strike. While this is far from being the best Barbarian build in terms of damage or survivability, it's one of the least gear-dependent ones, making it perfect for starting out the farming process in World Tier 4. If you are looking for a build that you can use before transitioning into the later stages of the endgame, then the Walking Arsenal Barbarian is a great choice for Season 3.

If you are looking for a hit-and-run build that specializes in applying bleeds, then using Rend is what we recommend. This build received a couple of buffs for Season 3, one of them being an increase in the damage done by Gushing Wounds, and the second is the addition of a new Legendary Power that increases the duration of Rend. The Rend build was already in a decent spot in Season 2, and these changes are going to make it even more effective. This build scales really well into the late game and is one of the strongest single-target builds available to the Barbarian. It does lack some AoE capabilities, but those could probably be fixed by the new Seneschal Companion for Season 3.

No changes have been made in Season 3 that would alter the effectiveness of the build, and it remains one of the best options for farming endgame Bosses. Similar to Rend, the build lacks AoE clearing capabilities, and it gets outclassed in the Nightmare Dungeon department by some other builds on this list. Still, if you are looking to fulfill the Barbarian class fantasy of smacking demons with your weapons, you should definitely give Double Swing a shot.

Hammer on the Ancients relies on some setup, by buffing yourself with Shouts and playing around different items and passives, but once everything lines up, you can one-shot everything in the game. This build has very few downsides other than the fact that it is heavily gear-dependent, requiring some of the rarest items in the game to reach its full potential. If you are looking for a true endgame build that is capable of walking through the entire game, Hammer of the Ancients remains the top choice for Season 3.
