Diablo 4's Twitch Viewership Plummets by 99% Since Season 1 Launch

Diablo 4, once full of promise, has seen a staggering 99% decrease in Twitch viewership since the launch of Season 1. The game started strong, breaking Blizzard's sales records and earning high praise. However, player dissatisfaction with the live service model and perceived lack of content has soured the experience. Poorly received balance changes introduced alongside Season 1 have further eroded the game's reputation.

While the development team has attempted to address some issues, the damage to Diablo 4's reputation is evident in its dwindling Twitch viewership, which now hovers around 1,000 viewers. To provide context, the peak viewership at the launch of Season of the Malignant in July was 278,672, now reduced to 2,783 as of September 9, marking a 99% drop.

The average daily viewers also tell a grim tale, plummeting from 114,212 to 1,492 within the same timeframe, another 99% decrease. These numbers are unusual for a AAA title, and even newer games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Path of Exile have significantly more viewers.
