Fortnite: Weapon Mods and How to Use the Workbench

Weapon mods are crucial to destroying your enemies in Fortnite's Chapter 5. This guide covers all you need to know about each attachment, where to find each mod, and how to customize your guns with the workbench. Let's begin!

Finding Workbenches:

Attachments are customizable at workbenches. To locate a workbench, open your map and travel to a P.O.I. marked by a golden medallion icon. Defeat the boss at this location to open the vault, and find your workbench waiting inside!

Using the Workbench:

Customize your weapons by spending Gold Bars to purchase and equip your favorite attachments. However, be warned, that not all mods are available for all weapon types. A sniper scope on a shotgun, for example, is not a viable combo, no matter how funny that would look. Some weapons may only have space for 1 or 2 attachments, while others can carry as many as 4. Your weapon's rarity will decide how many mods it can carry.

Gun Rarities and Attachments:

Guns of all rarities get access to attachment slots apart from white, with more slots available on higher quality weapons. Here are the numbers:

0 Attachments: White
1 Attachment: Green
2 Attachments: Blue
3 Attachments: Purple
4 Attachments: Gold

Important to Note:

All guns (apart from white rarity) will spawn with at least one attachment already equipped. It may be a barrel attachment, a scope, or a mag. These mods are completely random and can be edited by spending Gold Bars at a workbench, the same as usual.
