RAID Shadow Legends: Dark Kael Best Build Guide

Dark Kael is, as his name suggests, the Dark version of Kael and is a powerhouse of a Champion who does great in various forms of content.

Unfortunately, Dark Kael can only be obtained from Secret Rooms in the Doom Tower, but that makes him quite the unique unit and strong at that.

Dark Kael works similarly to the Kael we know and love. He too applies a ton of [Poison] debuffs to targets, however, unlike Kael Dark Kael also can instantly trigger those [Poison] debuffs with his A1 and deal a ton of damage, making him a bit better than his Rare counterpart.

Furthermore, Dark Kael has a nasty passive that reduces the Crit Rate of enemies afflicted with 2 or more [Poison] making him a great choice for a ton of PvE content, and namely Clan Boss. A lot of failures in Clan Boss can happen due to it landing a critical hit on the first attack, but with Dark Kael in the team, there won’t be any need to worry about that anymore.

Dark Kael’s whole kit is once again tied to [Poison] and making the best use of it.

His A1 is a 3-hit attack that has a good chance of activating any 2 [Poison] or 1 [Poison] / 1 [HP Burn] on a target helping you with your damage output a ton.

His A2 is a nasty [Decrease ATK] debuff that can also increase the duration of debuff on targets if the attack is a critical hit. Overall, it's a great addition to Dark Kael’s kit that works by using poison.

Finally, Dark Kael’s A3 is a powerful 5% [Poison] application skill that places 3 [Poison] alongside a [Posion Sensitivity] debuff, making him one scary Champion to fight against.

Dark Kael does extremely well in various forms of content, but he most shines in Clan Boss, similar to his Rare counterpart. Besides Clan Boss, you can also use him in Dragon and Doom Tower and you’ll see him get good results.

Weaver of Woes

• Attacks 1 enemy 3 times.
• Each hit has a 25% chance to instantly activate 2 [Poison] debuffs or 1 [Poison] debuff and 1 [HP Burn] debuffs.

A2

Binding Darkness

• Attacks all enemies.
• Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% [Decrease ATK] debuff for 2 turns.
• Each critical hit also has a 75% chance of increasing the duration of all debuffs on the target by 1 turn.

A3

Reality Acid

• Has a 75% chance of placing three 5% [Poison] debuffs and a 25% [Poison Sensitivity] debuff on the target for 2 turns.

Passive

Delerium

• Decreases the C. RATE of enemies under 2 or more [Poison] debuffs by 15%.
• If there are multiple Champions on the team with this Skill, only one will activate.

Best Blessings

Cruelty

• Whenever this Champion hits an enemy, decreases their DEF until the end of the Round. Occurs once per hit.
• If multiple Champions have this Blessing, still cannot decrease a single Champion’s DEF by more than 40%, or decrease a Boss’ DEF by more than 20%.

Phantom Touch

• Has a 15% chance of inflicting Bonus Damage to one enemy whenever this champion hits enemy targets (applies to one target only) (1 turn cooldown).
• Multiplier: 3.5*ATK ignoring 30% of the Target’s Defense.

Summary

All in all, Dark Kael is a great step up from Kael and can do all that Kael does but better.

He is a great choice for Clan Boss and various other modes and his ability to apply a ton of powerful [Poison] while also detonating it thanks to his A1 allows him to do a ton of damage.

The only downside of Dark Kael is that you cannot get him from Shards and instead have to rely on Secret Rooms in the Doom Tower, but Dark Kael’s strengths more than make up for that.

Dark Kael is a powerful Champion to have on your teams and may be worth the resources put into him.
