With Episode 8 Act 2 drawing to a close, Valorant players have a lot to look forward to as Episode 8 Act 3 kicks off a new season of fresh content and updates. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Valorant Episode 8 Act 3, including its release date, battle pass, skins, and more!

 

Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 Release Date

The new Act is set to begin on April 30th, 2024 following a brief maintenance period. Servers will go offline at 6 AM PT in North America, Latin America, and Brazil, 2 PM PT in Korea and Asia Pacific, and 8 PM PT in Europe.

What to Expect in Valorant Episode 8 Act 3

While full details have yet to be revealed, Act 3 is shaping up to deliver exciting updates:

Premier Mode Overhaul

Riot has announced major changes to the Premier competitive mode, including a new promotion system where winning Playoff teams will move up at least one division. The top 32 Contenders teams in each zone at the end of the stage will qualify for Invite Division's next Act. Playoff qualification will now require a total of 600 Premier scores for all divisions.


Mystbloom Skin Bundle

A new flower-themed weapon skin bundle called Mystbloom will bloom in the shop, featuring skins for the Operator, Phantom, Sheriff, Judge, and a Kunai-like melee weapon. Expect pink, blue, orange, and purple variants for a vibrant look.


Battle Pass

As always, a new Battle Pass will be available for 1000 VP ($10), offering a host of new cosmetics to unlock like Player Cards, Gun Buddies, and Sprays in addition to weapon skins. The exact contents remain a mystery for now.

Possible Map Pool Changes

Speculation is swirling that some map pool adjustments could be in store for Episode 8 Act 3. Rumors suggest the temporarily disabled Split map may make its return, while some think that Ascent could be cycled out, but Riot has not confirmed either possibility yet.


Quality of Life Improvements

On top of those additions above, Riot has hinted that Act 3 will focus on a range of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. These include addressing issues like broken kill sounds on certain RGX guns and the Blades of Primordia's running animation.
