This setup allows you to use both two-handed axes and mace like Smite's Mighty Hammer or go for dual-wielding. If you do not use Smite's Mighty Hammer, you can remove one talent point from Two-Handed Axes and Maces and invest it in any other talent depending on what you will need in your encounters.

If you use a two-handed weapon, you do not need the rune Dual Wield Specialization, but there is no really good alternative for a chest rune, tough. You can also try out the rune Shield Mastery so you can switch to one-handed + shield in tricky situations and help out as an off-tank.
