WoW SoD How to Get Void-Touched Gear & Shard of the Void

World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 1 is no stranger to secrets as players are yet to unveil all of the hidden items and content in this new version of Azeroth. The community is hell-bent on finding every piece of information they can so they can further enhance the SoD experience. 

WoW Classic has turned out to be a massive success, as the player base has only voiced positive feedback for the seasonal mode that introduced new runes to World of Warcraft Vanilla along with a new event, and more opportunities to gear up your character for the new Blackfathom Deeps 10-man raid. 

We will be taking a look at all of the currently known Void-Touched Gear and how you can acquire it depending on which profession you have decided to master in Season of Discovery. Let's get into it!

WoW SoD What is Void-Touched Gear?

Void-Touched items are Epic Gear you can create through the Tailoring, Blacksmithing, and Leatherworking professions in World of Warcraft Season of Discovery. To craft the gear, you will also need a Shard of the Void to get your hands on the new Epic Gear.

Currently, 4 separate Void-Touched items can be crafted as possibly more gear will be unveiled with players discovering more items and quests. All screenshots here are courtesy of Wowhead.

WoW SoD How Can You Craft Void-Touched Gear and Find Shard of the Void?

There are a couple of prerequisites you need to meet before you can craft the Void-Touched gear. Rest assured, all of the effort is worth it as the items are very powerful given the level 25 cap in Phase 1.

You will need to ensure that you have maxed out the skill of one of the three professions mentioned above to 100 at least, and you will need to have Elixir of Coalesced Regret handy.

This elixir can be created by Alchemists who can purchase the recipe from either Zixil in Hillsbrad Foothills or Kzixx in Duskwood. Here are the steps that you need to complete:

• Locate the Dead Twilight Cultist in Ashenvale (coordinates 17, 26).

• Use the Elixir of Coalesced Regret and talk to the corpse.
• Enter the Blackfathom Deeps raid and interact with the corpse of Old Serra'kis to obtain the Handful of Shifting Scales item.

• Travel to the inn in Ratchet in the Barrens and speak with N'ora inside. You will need to hand over the following resources:

Handful of Shifting Scales, 40x Strange Dust, 5x Greater Magic Essence, 2x Small Glimmering Shard, 5 Gold

• This will allow her to craft a Shifting Scale Talisman for you to wear inside the BFD raid so you can safely grab The Box lying underneath the boss Kelris' sanctum. 

• You will then have to travel to Hillsbrad Foothills (coordinates 88.4, 72.6) and use the pillar of light so you can destroy The Box and get a Shard of the Void.

• After that, a Shadowy Figure will spawn which you have to interact with to learn the Void-Touched recipe for your respective profession. You should now be able to craft one of the Void-Touched Epic Gear items so good luck adventuring in Season of Discovery!
