Blizzard announced a brand new PvE event called Nightmare Incursions. World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 3 will see players going through one of the four Emerald portals found across Azeroth.
Once teleported, players will go to a corrupted zone with many enemies to defeat to obtain some great loot across level 25 to 50. It seems this will be a brand new way to gear up alts as well as have enough incentive to socialize and gain Reputation with the new Emerald Wardens faction.
Not only will you get useful items, but you will also be rewarded with a PvP set as well, so it seems that Blizzard will be changing their strategy by trying a PvE event instead of a strictly PvP one.

WoW SoD Phase 3: PvE Event Details
So far, we know very little about the event as it seems players will be battling treants, dragons, and other corrupt beings in the Nightmare Incursion event. There are four total portals spread across the world, located in Ashenvale, Duskwood, the Hinterlands, and Feralas.
Players who enter this new zone will receive experience and reputation by defeating enemies to gain the favor of the Emerald Wardens faction. It seems that you will be rewarded for your efforts as some cool new items were also revealed.
